Having worked in the plus size fashion industry for over 15 years, and been a plus size woman all my life, I have seen many trends come and go, as well as

Feel good clothes

I wanted to create a capsule collection that would not only make getting dressed in the morning a little bit easier, but would help women feel good too. Nohah hasn't been built to serve trends or line the pockets of some faceless executive who doesn't care about plus size bodies; it's been built through a genuine love of style and understanding. 

When I left school in 1996 I was a size 16, and over the years I have been everything from a size 32 to a size 18, and now as size 24 I wanted to design clothes that were comfortable, but fun, stylish but not disposable, trend led items. 

 

Thoughtful Clothes

Each piece has been thought about. How would I wear it, where would I wear it? Is it versatile, can it be worn for many years to come without looking dated? I looked into my own wardrobe and thought about the pieces I reach for time and time again. And that's where I started. 

Every piece of the collection can be mixed or matched, dressed up or down and, I hope, feel a joy to wear, every time.  

Clothes with a conscience 

Sustainability was also a huge consideration for me. From the fabrics to manufacture. So I sought out fabrics that would not only be durable, but were certified. I specifically chose to manufacture in the UK choosing a small team, who I went to meet, to ensure everyone was treated and paid fairly. And yes; that all comes at a price. So no, my clothes aren't as affordable as the high street and online retailers we've had access to, but they are an investment not only in the UK's economy and the environment; but in you. Because you deserve the best. We are not an afterthought, we are the moment.
